In this era, most of us will process several set of password for bank account, Netflix login, Apple ID, Amazon profile, Gmail account. Except for some of the most important or frequently used account, most likely you may forget the password or need to try hard to locate the password from your record.
This time let me share with you the way I record those password, which can facilitate my daily workflow to accelerate the whole process.
For sure some of my friends still record their password in Excel / Google Sheet. But it is time consuming to locate back the specific password from the list. Also, what if you forget the login password of the Excel / Google Sheet ? Or the Excel / Google Sheet is deleted by someone else mistakenly? If then, you may lost all the password record oh....
Base on my practice, I prefer using an app which can be applied in different platforms, so as to avoid unsupported situation from occurring after switching to another platform. And more importantly, I prefer to purchase the app in one-off, instead of paying the monthly subscription fee.
There are different choices in the market but most of them are subscription based. Still there are some free versions of password management tool with different limitations. For example, they only allow one device to access to the app or limit the number to password to be saved. Therefore, these app may not be an ideal tool based on price-wise or function-wise. One more point to remind you guys: If you find a free app in Apps Store but without website support or looks suspicious, I suggest you to give it up and choose another app.
Enpass
I am using Enpass to record all my password with the following reasons. It supports most of the basic function with unlimited number of record in different devices.
Base on the above criteria, you may save all your password in the app in a secured way.
Encrypt
Another benefit of choosing this tool is to help you encrypt the password in the Database automatically. (If you opt to use Excel / Google Sheet, you may expose to the risk that someone may be able to access to your password.)
You can select the synchronize plan in Enpass to support your access to the password in iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive. Also, you can share your Database with your colleague/ family. By doing so, you can share the password conveniently and securely.
If you are interested in Enpass, you may browse the link below to learn more. Or free feel to let me know if you have any better suggestion!
